Paw-sitively Divided: Team Dog or Team Cat?

If there’s one question that always comes up in conversation, whether it’s on a date or meeting a friend, it’s this: are you team cat or dog?

It’s like pineapple on pizza or coffee vs energy drinks. Cats and dogs have their quirks, and so do the people who love them. Maybe you’re drawn to a happy tail wag, or perhaps a soothing purr is more your style. It all comes down to personal preference and your lifestyle. So, which side are you on?

Those rocking with team dog…

If you’re a dog lover, you may be more energetic, extroverted, and upbeat. Routines are your go-to, like going on a daily walk with your four-legged bestie. You also value true companionship, and having your dog is like having a best friend and furry child rolled into one.

You definitely have an outdoorsy and adventurous vibe, but you also love having a dog around during tougher times. Yes, grooming a dog is time consuming, but the pros heavily outweigh this one con.

I already know you have a whole phone album full of dog pictures and videos. Your Snapchat memories are only of your dog (I know mine is). There is also no shortage of dog-loving pals in your circle.

If there’s a dog nearby, you’re walking over to pet them.

Those that chill with team cat…

You bring a more introverted, calm, and independent personality just like your cat. You have to have scheduled alone time or you’ll go crazy, even if it’s just for 10 minutes.

Patience and understanding are definitely your personal virtue, but at the same time, you will silently assess an entire situation. People may describe you as low maintenance, creative, and flexible.

Cats are for the people who want a companion while also needing more freedom in their lives. Does this sound like you? Probably. Your cat helps create a peaceful and calming atmosphere in your home.

The unique thing about cats is that they will show their love and affection for you even without your constant attention like dogs. You could say that cat people are affectionate, but they are selective and picky about when or who they show love.

In a world full of dog people, cat people are refreshing because they enjoy quiet affection, independence, and possess a comforting aura similar to their beloved pets.

Can’t choose? Don’t worry, you can love both!

Dogs and cats are equally as great, but maybe you can finally decide which type of person you are and which would be better suited for your lifestyle. It’s hard to just choose one, but I would say I’m more team dog. Either way, cat people and dog people are both super amazing and unique. The world wouldn’t be the same without either one!
