Pet owners must learn how to keep their pet safe from dehydration and overheating. We provided a guide that gives helpful safety tips and fun activities so owners and their pets may stay safe and have a blast!

Heat Caution for Pets
Keep your pet hydrated: always make sure your pet has access to clean, cool water so they do not suffer from dehydration during the hot temperatures
Walk your pet safely: walk in the early mornings or late evenings with cooler temperatures. Try to choose routes that have more shaded areas to avoid the danger of hot pavement. Walk slowly and take breaks often.
Do not leave pets in the car: even with windows cracked open, this places your pet in major risk of a heat stroke if left in hot temperatures
Watch for signs of heat stroke: if you notice any excessive panting, drooling, exhaustion, vomiting or confusion these could all be signs of heatstroke. If these symptoms occur make sure they have access to water and a shaded area while contacting a vet immediately.
